'06 Honda Civic

The 2006 Honda Civic begins to outshine its competitors by adding sophistication to its existing design. Reliability was always the benchmark of the Civic, and the 2006 model year ensures that the reputation is improved by the incorporation of a few additional safety-enhancement features.

Power is also the watchword of the 2006 Civic, the available engines now receiving ample upgrades to improve power output. Although the 1.8-liter capacity engine can muster 140 horsepower, it has better fuel economy than its counterparts. A 2.0-liter engine delivering 197 horsepower is available with the 2006 Civic Si.

The improvements in the 2006 Honda Civic include the introduction of side-curtain airbags and a four-channel anti-lock braking system. The body styling has been improved. Additions are the electronic brake distribution system for more stability in braking and handling.

The steering wheel is telescoping, thereby improving the maneuverability of the vehicle according to the driver’s temperament.

It is quite astounding that even after so many model years, the 2007 Honda Civic still continues to be an affordable midsized vehicle. New additions include a new sedan version of the sportier Si trim level of the vehicle. The hybrid version is available in the 2007 model year as well.

Modifications of the available powertrains in the 2007 Civic remain nearly unmodified since the previous make. While standard models operate with the 140hp engine, the Si trim levels have an improved 2.0-liter engine delivering 197 horsepower. The hybrid versions, on the other hand, employ an electric motor alongside a 110 horsepower gas engine.

With its incomparable fuel economy, the 2007 Honda Civic continues its reputation of efficiency in all its trims, including the hybrid model. The hybrid engine has ample acceleration to go with the mileage, not to mention a self-recharging capability in the electrically driven motor in it.

It is often said that simplicity can be beautiful. The 2005 Honda Civic lives up to that saying. The 2005 Civic is an entry-level sedan that is affordable for most buyers. There are also a number of options and upgrades available for the Civic

The base model of the 2005 Honda Civic comes with a 1.7-liter I-4 engine that produces 115 hp. The upgraded 2.0-liter model produces up to 160hp which is a lot for a vehicle of this size. However, the biggest surprise the 2005 Civic has to offer is its incredible 44 mpg fuel economy.

As if that wasn't enough, Hona really outdid itself and blew away the competition by introducing the hybrid version of the Civic. Compatible with natural gas, the hybrid package ensures that vehicle emissions are minimized as well.
